Brigit’s Garden is a unique and special venue for weddings. Every wedding at Brigit’s Garden is different, and we look forward to working with you to create a very special occasion that is tailored to suit your preferences and requirements.
Indoor and outdoor venues for the wedding ceremony
There are several wonderful spots in the four Celtic gardens that are ideal for a special ceremony or a blessing, particularly the Bealtaine and Lughnasa gardens.
We have two attractive indoor rooms, both of which are approved venues for civil marriages:
The Roundhouse is a unique circular, thatched building in the centre of the Gardens. It accommodates up to 35 people seated or 50 for a drinks reception.
The Hazel Room is an attractive function room in the Visitor Centre that can seat up to 90 people theatre-style, or up to 120 for a drinks reception.
Our circular Marquee is also ideal for a ceremony or reception.
Reception, dinners and parties
We can offer you a champagne or wine reception, with or without canapés, inside or in the Gardens. The Lughnasa garden stone circles are a unique outdoor location, and the Roundhouse, Hazel Room and Marquee are ideal for indoor receptions. We can provide a range of drinks from sparkling wines and champagnes to fruit juice cocktails, and a delicious selection of freshly made canapés.
Wedding dinners can be served in the Hazel Room, which accommodates up to 65 for dining. A further 40 can be accommodated if the Café dining area is included.
Our food is all freshly made on the premises and is recommended in the Georgina Campbell and Bridgestone Guides. Sample menus are available on request.
The Hazel Room, Café dining area, patio and Marquee make a fabulous suite of rooms for evening parties, with room for music and dancing.

“Our wedding at Brigit’s Garden will be something we will remember forever. When we first started to look for wedding venues we wanted to find somewhere that was different and intimate and that could cater for an outdoor event. We would have never imagined that there was such a perfect little gem as the gardens so close to our home.
On our first visit in February, before the garden had fully come alive, it was still obvious what a beautiful and special place it was. On that first visit we also met Caroline who from the very beginning, and throughout the process was absolutely amazing. There was nothing that we asked for that was too much trouble for her. Her main concern was always that we had the wedding that we wanted – Her enthusiasm for helping us plan our special day made it all such a pleasant experience. We were both abroad during most of the planning, but Caroline made sure that all the preparation went seamlessly.
The wedding day itself was perfect. We had a reception with canapés before the ceremony followed by more snacks and drinks after tying the knot. The only word for the food was delicious, and all the staff serving and taking care of us on the day were an absolute credit to the venue. We had so many genuine compliments from our guests about the venue and the event itself.
There is nothing we would have changed about the day and couldn’t have imagined any other place that could have provided such a beautiful and intimate surroundings and such an exceptional team.
We would not have a single hesitation in recommending the Gardens to any couple looking for somewhere very special to have their big day.”
“Getting married in Brigit’s Garden was truly a beautiful, relaxed and incredibly special time. The lead up to the day was made easy thanks to Caroline, – nothing was too much trouble and we were made feel like our day was special for them too. We opted for the buffet and the food was magnificent.
All our guests had a fabulous time, the day was paced nicely with champagne/elderflower reception and canapes after the ceremony and plenty of space for walks around the beautiful gardens. After 5pm when the gardens are closed to the public it feels very special to have such a beautiful venue just for your own private party.
As it darkened we had candles and fairy lights and dancing in the marquee. It was perfect for the children who were at the wedding with a playground, space to run around and Caroline also organised activities in the gardens for the children after they had eaten. They are still talking about how they made houses for foxes and magic potions! The whole day was a smile from start to finish.
We would both highly recommend Brigit’s Garden as a wedding venue – it’s a perfect place to come back for an anniversary too!”
